I would say A, based on the chart in the study book (page 172), core-edge is ranked highest in performance, for distributed (many-to-many), while C/meshed is just ranked "high"

Agreed. The SAN Design reference guide doesnt mention anything about port efficiency being better between one or the other. It does, like you said, mention the best topology data performance being highest with the 3:1 and 1:1 Core-Edge Fabric design.
