The University of the Philippines Alumni Association (Singapore) is beaming with pride as it celebrates the graduation of Arth Bryan T. Estrella from the degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology, Cum Laude at the University of the Philippines Mindanao.

Below is his open letter to the UPAAS community:

To the Mancom and Members of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association Singapore,

I am filled with so much joy as I write this letter, knowing that I will soon be graduating with your invaluable support. Your unwavering support, not just financially but also morally, has been a beacon of hope andencouragement. As one of the beneficiaries of your generosity, I have experienced firsthand the transformative power of the scholarship. The association’s scholarships have not only eased the financial burden of pursuing education but have also served as a constant reminder of the supportive community that stands behind us.

During the past years, especially during the pandemic, the association’s dedication to checking on your scholars exemplifies true compassion and commitment. Your consistent outreach, words of encouragement, and willingness to ensure our well-being have been deeply reassuring. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed; they have strengthened our resolve to persevere and succeed despite the challenges we faced. It is through your generosity that most of us have been able to pursue our dreams and are inspired to contribute positively to society. Your belief in education as a transformative force echoes throughout our journeys, inspiring us to strive for excellence and make meaningful impacts in our respective fields.

Looking ahead, I am deeply motivated to pursue a career in medicine. Inspired by your support and the example of compassion and service you have set, my goal is to study medicine and become a medical doctor. My aspiration is to serve the Filipino people, providing accessible healthcare, especially to the poor, and making a difference in the lives of those in need.

With this, I extend my sincerest thanks to the University of the Philippines Alumni Association Singapore (UPAAS) for your support, encouragement, and unwavering belief in the power of education. Your generosity has not only changed lives but has also empowered future generations of scholars to reach for the stars.

With deepest gratitude,

Arth Bryan T. Estrella
