The University of the Philippines Alumni Association (Singapore) officially welcomed its 2026 officers during an oath-taking ceremony held on 24 April 2026 at the Philippine Embassy in Singapore.

The ceremony took place at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal, a space dedicated to promoting Philippine culture and heritage. Officers took their oath before First Secretary and Consul Joyleen E. Santos, who administered the ceremony on behalf of the Embassy.

The event marked the formal start of the new leadership team’s service for the year. It also provided an opportunity for officers to reflect on the association’s mission of strengthening alumni connections, supporting scholars, and serving both the Filipino community and the wider Singapore society.

Set against the backdrop of Sentro Rizal’s cultural exhibits, the gathering highlighted the strong and longstanding relationship between UPAAS and the Philippine Embassy in Singapore. A notable feature of the venue was the striking light installation by renowned Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue, which served as a reminder of Filipino creativity and excellence on the global stage.

UPAAS extends its sincere gratitude to the Philippine Embassy, Consul Joyleen E. Santos, and the Embassy staff for their warm hospitality and continued support of the alumni community.

As the 2026 officers begin their term, the association looks forward to another year of fellowship, service, professional development, and community engagement.

Together, we continue the UP tradition of honor, excellence, and service.
