Celebrating Our Collective Achievements: UPAAS Annual General Meeting 2026
On March 28, 2026, the UP Alumni Association Singapore (UPAAS) gathered for its Annual General Meeting to reflect on the milestones of the past year and celebrate the power of community. The President’s Report showcased how, together, we strengthened bonds, uplifted scholars, and expanded our impact.
🌟 Membership & Engagement
- 106 active members continue to form the heart of UPAAS.
- In 2025, we engaged our community through 30 diverse events, from wellness walks at Jurong Lake Gardens to nature appreciation at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
🎉 Fundraising Highlights
UPAAS organized three major fundraising events that blended camaraderie with purpose:
- The August Drive – A Swing to UP.Lift (Golf Tournament, Batam Island Country Club, Aug 23, 2025)
- Christmas Carolling that brought festive cheer while raising support
- Oblation Badminton Cup 2025, a spirited competition for a cause
Together, these efforts raised $15,000 for our scholars, ensuring that education remains accessible to deserving Filipino youth.
One shining example of this impact: Jun Vince Dizon, a UPAAS scholar, graduated in July 2025 as Magna Cum Laude in BS Development Communication from UPLB.
🎁 Community Outreach
Beyond scholarships, UPAAS extended its generosity to communities in the Philippines:
- Pamaskong Pambata 2025 raised $1,720 to spread Christmas cheer in Cabanglasan, Bukidnon.
🤝 Partnerships & Collaboration
Our success was made possible through collaboration with esteemed partners and sponsors, including Don Lechon, Prudential, Ayala Land International Singapore, Smiles Mobile Remittance, Austral Migration Consultancy, and Majestic Immigration.
From raffle prizes to event sponsorships, their support helped us organize memorable activities like the Golden Hour Walk at Jurong Lake Gardens and sustain the Oblation Cup.
