A Year in Review: Highlights from the UPAAS 21st Annual General Meeting 2025

We are thrilled to share a summary of the engaging and productive UPAAS 21st Annual General Meeting held on March 15, 2025! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, celebrate our achievements, and chart a course for the exciting year ahead. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the lively discussions.

The meeting commenced with reviewing and adopting the previous year’s minutes, setting a solid foundation for the day’s agenda. President Janelle presented a comprehensive report, highlighting the association’s accomplishments centered around our core directions: Making Connections, Sharing Passion, and Rendering Service. It was truly inspiring to witness the impact of our collective efforts throughout 2024. From community outreach programs and scholarship initiatives to vibrant social gatherings, UPAAS has been actively fostering a strong sense of community and shared purpose.

A key focus of the meeting was the presentation and discussion of financial reports. The Treasurer provided a detailed overview of income and expenses, ensuring transparency and accountability. It was encouraging to see the careful management of resources and the ongoing commitment to our scholarship program, which continues to make a significant difference in the lives of deserving students.

The AGM also addressed important administrative matters, including the transition to electronic approvals for bank transactions. This move will streamline processes and enhance efficiency, allowing us to serve our members better and allocate resources effectively. We also heard from various committees, including Socials, Marketing, and Scholarship, each sharing updates and plans for the future.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to elections and nominations for key positions within the association. We were delighted to see a strong interest in leadership roles, and we extend our congratulations to those nominated and elected. Your dedication and willingness to serve are invaluable to UPAAS.
